NOTES FROM OUTSIDE

Field Journal

A small collection of observations about walking, weather, and quiet places.

A slower route

A familiar walk changes when there is no hurry. Paths branch between the trees, and the afternoon light finds details that are easy to miss: a stone wall, the edge of a leaf, the long shadow of a gate.

Some days the best plan is to leave enough time for the longer way home.
